Coaching for Leadership Excellence
Leadership training is seldom a “one size fits all” affair. Each individual brings a unique skill set to the table. Skills developed from years of living translate into habits for how he or she navigates daily choices and interactions successfully.
Successful coaching begins with developing a leader’s strong suit and working with his or her existing strengths. From there, focused conversations, skill building and practice will laser in on blind spots and habits that are not producing effective results. Participants in coaching sessions learn to self-observe and redirect their efforts, creating new experiences that eventually override habitual responses.
Coaching is an empowering process; it requires the full participation of individuals who are willing to take a hard look at how the results they are getting are being created. It demands the practice of new skills in everyday contexts, with the goal of creating new habits of effectiveness.
Content for coaching session is customized to the needs of each participant and is based on:
• Each participant’s unique objectives
• Developing specific strategies to achieve stated goals
• Identifying skills and tools most relevant to the individual for leadership development
• Integrating experiences and learning from each session
In order to maximize development efforts and leadership impact, participants will undertake and complete assignments in between program meetings. They will apply newly acquired skills to both everyday and more significant tasks, as well as work towards improving identified relationships. The assignments account for regular activities both at work and at home.
All participant communications regarding program content, goals and any other aspect are kept strictly confidential.
